Clients should be aware that the Cattery staff are not veterinary trained nor do they purport to be.

Where an owner gives their authorisation for prescribed medication for their cat(s) to be administered as per their instruction the Cattery cannot accept any liability for incorrect administration of any drugs or medication contained in this instruction.

The Cattery retain an advisory veterinary surgeon and when considered necessary will call on his/her services at the owner’s expense. Where possible the Cattery will use the owners own veterinary surgery, dependent on individual circumstances and distances involved.

If veterinary assistance is deemed necessary by the Cattery throughout the boarding period due to the cat(s) being unwell or injured the owner or representative of the owner gives their absolute authorisation for the Cattery to sign on their behalf or act as their agent for any authorisation required for medical procedures to take place until such time as the owner can be contacted directly.  The owner also agrees to settle directly any veterinary costs arising without rescourse to the cattery.

It is the responsibility of the client to inform the cattery of any existing or recent medical conditions that may have affected the cat within the previous month.  In certain circumstances the client may be requested to sign an additional clause indemnifying the cattery.

Cats cannot be accepted without a valid current certificate of vaccination against Feline Infectious Enteritis and Feline Flu these certificates must be produced for examination on the date of arrival.  Vaccinations or an annual booster must have been administered at least 72 hours prior to arrival.  The right to refuse entry to the Cattery is retained if these certificates cannot be made available.

Boarding fees are at a rate per day, details of which are available on application.  The days of arrival and departure are charged as full days.

Arrival and collection times outside of our normal opening hours can occasionally be made, and where applicable the client accepts that a charge of £5 will be made.

The final bill must be settled on the date of departure by either cash or cheque.  In the event of late delivery or early collection (see opening times overleaf) the entire period of booking must be paid for.   In the event of failure to settle the full and final bill on the day of departure the Cattery reserves the right to detain the cat(s) at full and continuous boarding fees until the full amount is settled.

Shared accommodation can be made available but only to cats from the same household and in this respect the owners are deemed to have given their authorisation for the cats to share.  The owners also accept that whilst every reasonable effort is taken to monitor cat(s) behaviour and what they are eating and drinking throughout their boarding period, this is more uncertain when cats are sharing accommodation.

A minimum deposit of £20 per cat is required in advance of the day of arrival to confirm the booking.  For bookings deemed as long-term (30 days plus), 50% of the final bill must be paid as a deposit in advance of the day of arrival.  Reservations can only be guaranteed if a deposit has been received.  The deposit is not returnable if the booking is cancelled less than six weeks before the arrival date.

Heating will be compulsory from 1st October until 30th April each year and at any other times throughout the year as deemed necessary by the Cattery, unless specifically requested otherwise.  The additional charge for heating that will be levied is available on application.

Possessions belonging to or relating to all cats are left entirely at the owner’s risk.

Whilst the Cattery are happy to groom medium and long haired cats as required during the boarding period, the Cattery cannot be deemed to be professionally competent in this function and will only perform maintenance grooming.
